ENGINE:
Model C-101 --Briggs & Stratton, cast iron, four cycle air cooled
engine. Develops 10hp @ 3600 RPM. 3~6" Bore. 3%" Stroke,
23.94 cubic inch displacement, dry element cleaner, Stellite
faced exhaust valves and seats, positive valve rotators and
ball main bearings.
Model C-141--Kohler K321, cast iron, four cycle air cooled
engine. Develops 14hp @ 3600 RPM, 3½" Bore. 3%" Stroke.
31.27 cubic inch displacement, dry element air cleaner. Stellite
faced valves, Eatonite seats, dynamic balance and ball main
bearings.
FRAME:
One-piece heavy-gauge, jig-welded sheet steel. Engine weight
over blade. Balanced for maneuverability. Extension handle
for easy turning.
WHEELS:
Two 5" front wheels and two 6" rear wheels with ball bearings
and Iow rubber tread no-sway design.
AXLES:
Front axles rigidly mounted to a weldment for raising and
lowering blade. 3/4" rear axle mounted to allow wheels to rotate.
DEPTH FEED:
Positive Screw Feed. Screw and nut, operated by Control
Handle, raises and lowers blade. Cutting Depth Lock holds
blade at desired depth.
BLADE SHAFT:
1" diameter shaft, with 1" arbor, mounted on two heavy-duty
self-aligning pillow block ball bearings.
BLADE SHAFT DRIVE:
Two matched A-section premium V-Belts.
BLADE GUARD:
14" Blade Guard. Guard nose is hinged to facilitate cutting
intocurbs. Mounts on right side. Right side standard at factory.
Left hand cutting optional as a kit or installed at factory.
BLADE COOLANT SYSTEM:
Water application system concentrates water on both sides of
blade at blade collars. Quick-acting water valve. System con-
nects to water hose.
CUTTING LINE POINTERS:
Adjustable front pointer. Can be set for either right or left hand
cutting or both.
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT:
LEFT-HAND CUTTING:
Includes blade guard, shaft, collars and water distribution.
SELF-PROPELLING UNIT:
Variable speed, hydrostatic transmission with friction drive to
live rear wheels. Forward speeds to 60fpm. Controlled through
one lever. Transmission disengagement controlled with sec-
ond lever.
LIFTING BAIL:
Provides convenient means for lifting saw.

Dear Don:
The Sandy City Council, at its June 7, 1982 meeting, voted to accept and award
a bid for an asphalt concrete saw to Cessco, Incorporated. The award was for
a model C-141 push model concrete saw together with blade saver, for a total
of $1,378.00. Also included in the award is model CD 9234, 14" blade for
$378.90.
The only other bid received was from Columbia Equipment, Inc. They submitted
a bid on a Stow model CS-814, 14HR asphalt saw, $1,710.00 and a heavy duty
14" blade, $407.30.
The enclosed purchase order #2544, together with a copy of your bid, will
serve as the official award of contract for this piece of equipment. Please
let me know your time frame for sending the unit to us. Would you please
include a service manual with the unit? We'd also like to have a salesman
come out and demonstrate the unit to us. If you have any questions or
would like additional information, please call.
